Melanie & Zach's reception was in The Conservatory at The State Botanical Garden of Georgia in Athens. A Divine Event was responsible for the delicious meal and the incredible decor including flower arrangements by Gardenia Floral Design.The Flavor Band provided the entertainment, but Melanie & Zach's family got on stage and helped out too!

I'd met Alex a few times when he used to work for Trumps Catering. I was so excited when I saw him at the Trumps tasting a year or so ago and he was with Casey - his fiancee, and they were looking for a photographer. I just knew we'd be a great fit. Here are some of my favorite photos from the first half of the wedding day.One of the most beautiful features of The Day Chapel is this door, and it was just the right spot for the photo of the gown. Of course, it looks even better on the beautiful bride!How can you not love this enthusiasm!?!?!This was Casey and Alex's favorite photo from the engagement session.So we did our best to recreate it from memory on the wedding day.Reception photos coming next!

Christy and Andrew's Reception was held in The Botanical Gardens' Terrace Room in the Garden Club Building. Trumps catered the event and DJ David Osborne entertained the crowd. It was a great party, with lots of dancing. Here are some of my favorite photos.

Megan and Mike's Reception was held in the Conservatory at The State Botanical Garden of Georgia. It's just about as close to an outside reception as you can get without actually being outside, and has the bonus of air conditioning and a gorgeous natural background! Megan and Mike were married in The Day Chapel at The State Botanical Garden of Georgia in Athens. I'm always thrilled when a couple chooses to trust me to capture their wedding, but when the groom is a professional photographer it's an even bigger compliment! Mike was great at the wedding, trusting me to do the job right and also having fun 'talking shop' (although we did decide that for the day, using Photoshop as a verb was not allowed!) Laura and Wes got married at The State Botanical Garden of Georgia on a beautiful July day.I have never seen a wedding band like Laura's. Isn't it beautiful?And her dress was just perfect. The exact right combination of ruching and lace!Laura and Wes, like many of the couples I photograph, chose to see each other before the ceremony. This allows for a private, personal moment between the bride and groom - the "first look." It also allows us to get most of the wedding party and family photographs taken before the ceremony begins. That way everyone can get to the reception much faster, and the guests don't have to wait so long for the bride and groom! Here are the photos from Laura and Wes' first look.This is the "Men's Dressing Room" at the Day Chapel - It's much more like a closet. A tiny closet that doesn't even hold all of the guys in the wedding party!! Luckily, guys don't need much time or space to get ready!The Wedding Party.Wes and Laura with the adorable Flower Girls and Ring Bearer.Wes and Laura with their parents.The ring bearer was quite proud of his "pillow." I'm getting so excited about this weekend's wedding with Victoria and John! It is going to be at The State Botanical Garden of Georgia, which is a favorite venue of mine. The weather is supposed to be perfect -- sunny with a high of 70! I realized that I hadn't blogged their engagement photos yet, and thought this would be a great time. These photos were also taken at The Garden, but instead of the spring blooms we'll be seeing this weekend, there were gorgeous fall leaves. Here are some of my favorites.
